The speech-language pathologist must have the knowledge and understanding of a variety of cognitive and communication disorders affecting adults.
Competently diagnoses problems, designs and implements appropriate treatment programs, and communicates effectively with patients/families, team members, and payers as needed.
Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development and the ability to assess and interpret age-specific data and incorporate into patient care.
Serves as an active member of the team in providing appropriate recommendations and referrals to meet the patients individual needs.
Qualifications:
• Masters degree or equivalent in communication disorders • California State License for speech pathology • ASHA certification • CPR/AED is required
Applicants with current BLS may be hired, but must obtain AHA CPR/AED within thirty days of employment.
