Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dedicated in-house therapy team. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about neuro-rehabilitation and clinical excellence to support our residents on an as-needed (PRN) basis. Your Role & Responsibilities

As an SLP at Mission Valley, you will be instrumental in restoring our residents' communication and swallowing functions:

  • Comprehensive Assessment: Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
  • Dysphagia Management: Assess and treat swallowing disorders to ensure resident safety and nutritional health.
  • Individualized Care: Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each resident's unique cognitive and communication goals.
  • Interdisciplinary Teamwork: Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and other therapy disciplines to provide holistic care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Must hold a current and valid California Speech-Language Pathologist License.
  • Clinical Passion: A strong interest in geriatric care, stroke recovery, and dementia-related speech therapy.
  • Flexibility: Ability to provide PRN coverage to support the changing needs of our resident population.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
