Position: Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (FMLA Leave Coverage)
Grade Levels: 9th–12th Grade
Setting: Onsite
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:15 AM–2:25 PM
Weekly Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: August 10, 2026 – November 10, 2026
Manage a blended caseload of approximately 45 students
Provide direct speech-language therapy services in accordance with student IEPs
Support students in developing functional communication and life skills
Work with students with low-incidence disabilities and complex communication needs
Implement and support Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems
Utilize evidence-based behavioral intervention strategies to maximize student engagement and communication
Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate and timely documentation
Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, families, and administrators to support student success
Additional caseload details will be provided during the interview process.
To help ensure a successful start, the selected SLP will receive 2–3 days of overlap with the current Speech-Language Pathologist. This transition period will provide valuable time to review student programming, therapy schedules, documentation, and daily routines before assuming the caseload.
Active Illinois IDFPR Speech-Language Pathologist License required
Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) through ISBE required
Previous school-based experience preferred
Experience working with students with low-incidence disabilities strongly preferred
Knowledge of AAC systems and behavioral intervention strategies is highly desired
