POSITION: Speech-Language Pathologist (PS-12) | Rossford Exempted Village School District

Rossford Schools is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist to serve students throughout the district (Preschool-Grade 12) for the 2026-2027 school year. Position Overview

The Speech-Language Pathologist provides evaluation, intervention, consultation, and related services to eligible students with communication disorders that impact educational performance. The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers, intervention specialists, administrators, families, and related service providers to develop and implement individualized programs that support student success across the school setting.

Qualifications

  • Valid Ohio Department of Education and Workforce Speech-Language Pathologist license/certificate appropriate for school-based practice
  • Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology licensure (or ability to obtain, if applicable)
  • Knowledge of assessment, evaluation, and treatment of speech, language, voice, fluency, and pragmatic communication disorders
  • Excellent organization, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Genuine desire to support the district vision: preparing, inspiring, and empowering all students to achieve success

Responsibilities

Assessment & Evaluation

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and participate in multidisciplinary evaluations and reevaluations
  • Interpret assessment data and prepare reports in accordance with state and federal requirements
  • Determine student eligibility for speech-language services as a member of the evaluation team

Service Delivery & Student Support

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with students'' IEP goals
  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to students across Preschool through Grade 12
  • Monitor student progress and adjust services based on student needs and data

Collaboration & Communication

  • Effectively collaborate with teachers, intervention specialists, administrators, parents/guardians, and related service providers to support student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings, evaluation team reports, and other required meetings
  • Provide consultation and strategies to staff and families to support communication development across educational settings

Professional Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate documentation, service logs, and required records in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
  • Stay current with best practices and legal requirements related to speech-language services
  • Fulfill responsibilities as outlined in applicable job description(s), including other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services or Superintendent of Schools
