    School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) | Seattle, WA | 2026–2027 School Year | Full-Time Leave Coverage

    Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, short-term coverage position in Seattle, Washington. This assignment will primarily support developmental preschool students across two school locations and includes time dedicated to preschool child-development diagnostic services. Both locations are shared with another SLP, providing opportunities for collaboration and support.

    Job Highlights:

    • Location: Seattle, WA

    • Position: School Speech-Language Pathologist

    • Setting: In-person, school-based position

    • Schedule: Full Time, up to 40 hours per week

    • Anticipated Assignment Dates: December 1, 2026–March 2027

    • Specific end date is to be determined

    • Student Population: Predominantly developmental preschool students

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct speech and language evaluations, screenings, and diagnostic assessments

    • Provide individualized and small-group speech and language therapy

    • Complete preschool child-development diagnostics, primarily related to articulation

    • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

    • Create measurable goals based on students’ individual communication needs

    • Provide developmentally appropriate services to preschool-aged students

    • Support students with articulation, speech, language, social communication, fluency, voice, and augmentative communication needs

    • Track student progress and maintain accurate service documentation

    • Prepare evaluation reports, progress reports, and other required records

    • Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team planning

    • Collaborate with the other assigned SLP, teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers

    • Provide communication strategies and consultation to classroom staff and families

    • Ensure services comply with state, federal, and district requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

    • Valid Washington State Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain one

    • Valid Washington Educational Staff Associate certificate or eligibility to obtain one

    • Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred

    • Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply

    • Must have current fingerprints on file with OSPI or be willing to complete

    • Must provide at least two supervisory references

    • Experience with preschool students, articulation evaluations, or school-based services preferred

    • Strong assessment, communication, documentation, organization, and collaboration skills
