Our organization is in search of a Full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.
Requirements for the SLP Position:
Must have graduated from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
Possession of a valid SLP License in New York State is essential.
Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care is preferred; however, we welcome applications from new graduates with relevant experience.
Main Responsibilities:
Conduct Speech Therapy evaluations and assessments to diagnose residents and formulate treatment plans.
Track residents' progress and modify treatments as necessary.
Document details regarding initial evaluations, treatment plans, progress, and discharge of clients.
Evaluate and monitor progress, preparing comprehensive reports.
Safeguard resident confidentiality by managing sensitive information appropriately.
Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
Foster a collaborative environment among healthcare team members.
