Description

Conduct assessments of individuals across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized measures and observational strategies.
Create tailored treatment plans focusing on immediate and extended communication, cognitive, and swallowing objectives.
Implement individualized speech therapy interventions concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing mechanics.
Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, medical doctors, caregivers, and families to establish unified care approaches.
Provide educational resources to patients and families to promote progress beyond clinical interactions.
Perform occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and services, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout patient treatment.
Uphold meticulous and timely documentation as mandated by state, federal, and organizational regulations.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of advancements within the field.

Education

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within the first month of employment.
