Position Summary
As a Speech-Language Pathologist you deliver evidence-based speech and language services to students K-12 with language disorders, articulation delays, fluency concerns, voice disorders, and complex communication needs. You collaborate with special education teams, general educators, parents, and related services providers to create inclusive, data-driven intervention plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations using standardized and dynamic assessment tools to determine eligibility for services under IDEA, Section 504, and state standards
- Develop and implement individualized education programs and 504 plans with measurable, functional, and academically relevant goals
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services across language, articulation, fluency, voice, and social communication domains
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of student progress, treatment effectiveness, and session data
- Collaborate with special education, general education, and administrative staff to embed language-learning strategies across the school day
- Participate actively in IEP and ARD meetings and contribute clinical expertise to placement, progress monitoring, and eligibility decisions
- Maintain ASHA-compliant caseloads and ensure adherence to state and federal special education regulations
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from a CAPCSD-accredited program
CCC-SLP from ASHA - Valid, unrestricted Tennessee SLP license
Clear background check and proof of immunization status per district requirements
Preferred Qualifications
2 or more years of school-based SLP experience. New graduates welcome!
- Knowledge of RTI and MTSS frameworks
- Experience with AAC and assistive technology
- Experience with autism spectrum disorder and complex communication needs
$58,000 - $60,900 a year
Full Time W-2, with a competitive salary of $58,000 to $60,900 per year + $6,000 sign on bonus
OR 1099, $43–$53/hr., no bonus
