Job Type: Full-Time | Contract (44 Weeks)
Schedule: Monday Friday | 8:30 AM 3:10 PM (30-Minute Meal Break)
Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week
Pay Rate:$55.00 per Hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language services to elementary school students in Michigan. The selected candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders while collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success. The specific school location will be determined during the interview process with the district.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct speech, language, voice, and fluency evaluations for elementary students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services in accordance with IEP goals.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to educational planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and therapy records.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and parents.
  • Monitor student progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations.
  • Educate families and school staff on strategies to support communication development.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Active Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist Certification/License required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship if applicable.
  • Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred.
  • Knowledge of IEP development and special education processes.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary educational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an elementary school setting.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based speech and language intervention strategies.
  • Experience with a variety of communication disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic language.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience using electronic documentation and school-based data management systems.
