Oakland Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation and Lake Park Healthcare Center are hiring a licensed Speech Language Pathologist on a Part-Time basis in Oakland, California. This is a split role providing speech therapy coverage across both facilities, not necessarily on the same days, offering clinical variety and schedule flexibility that a single-site position simply cannot match.

The Role
The Speech Language Pathologist is a licensed healthcare professional responsible for the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and implementation of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorder management programs across Oakland Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation and Lake Park Healthcare Center. This is a split Part-Time role with coverage at both sites as scheduled. This position is classified as Non-Exempt and reports to the Director of Rehabilitation and the Facility Administrator at each site.
Core responsibilities include:
Physical requirements include the ability to assist with patient positioning during evaluations and treatment, performing oral mechanism examinations and swallowing assessments, prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and computer-based documentation. The ability to assist in resident evacuation during emergency situations is also required.
