Our facilities function as Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) that offer:

Position Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) delivers direct rehabilitation services in speech therapy to patients referred by physicians, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements
  • Must have graduated from an accredited speech therapy program (minimum MS or MA SLP).
  • ASHA certification (CCCs) is required OR eligibility for a 9-month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) to obtain ASHA certification (CCCs) and/or meet ASHA credentialing criteria. Once obtained, ASHA credentialing must be maintained.
  • Current registration/licensure in the applicable state is mandatory, with an active license in good standing throughout employment.
  • Preferred: One (1) year of experience in a post-acute care or similar setting.
  • CPR certification is required upon hire or must be obtained during orientation, and it must remain current throughout employment.
Specific Job Responsibilities
  • Engage in community health initiatives and projects as appropriate.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.
  • Coordinate with patients, families, and support departments to effectively address patient needs.
  • Exhibit proper body mechanics at all times.
  • Demonstrate the ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Familiar with practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing operations in a post-acute care facility.
  • Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform competently in all areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
  • Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, vendors, and others.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive information.
  • Adhere to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance.
  • Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following the organization’s Code of Conduct and completing mandatory compliance training.
Essential Functions
  • Establish, assess, and adjust realistic, measurable, and functional goals.
  • (SLP CCC only) Oversee and evaluate care provided by SLP CFYs.
  • (SLP CFY only) Follow speech therapy treatment plans under the supervision of the SLP CCC, in accordance with Federal and State guidelines.
  • Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Utilize therapy software effectively and accurately.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients.
  • Assist in the safe evacuation of patients when necessary.
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Utilize reasoning skills and good judgment in various situations.
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Engage in physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving intermittently during work hours.
  • Read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language proficiently.
