  • Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP): Starting at $45/hour (dependent on experience)

  • Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA): Starting at $35/hour (dependent on experience)
Position Overview
Birch Agency is actively seeking both Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to join our school-based team in Miami, Florida.

ResponsibilitiesSpeech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student IEP goals.

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services.

  • Manage and monitor student caseloads while documenting progress.

  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers.

  • Utilize evidence-based interventions to address articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication disorders.

  • Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements.
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

  • Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.

  • Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP.

  • Assist students with articulation, expressive and receptive language, fluency, and social communication skills.

  • Collect therapy data and maintain accurate treatment documentation.

  • Prepare therapy materials and support intervention activities.

  • Collaborate with school staff and families to reinforce communication goals.

  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
QualificationsSpeech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.

  • Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license required.

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.

  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred.
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an approved SLPA program required.

  • Active Florida SLPA license required.

  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred.
Both Positions

  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

  • Passion for helping students improve communication and educational outcomes.

  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary educational team.
Work Environment
