Join Our Team as a Travel Speech-Language Pathologist

We invite you to become part of a skilled nursing facility located in Kalamazoo, MI, where you will take on the role of a travel Speech-Language Pathologist. In this position, you will conduct assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions for individuals facing communication and swallowing challenges, all while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Minimum Qualifications
  • Educational Background: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Clinical Experience: Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Certification: Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is mandatory.
  • Licensure: An active Michigan SLP license is required to commence the assignment.
  • Certifications: BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be necessary.
  • Preferred Experience: Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care environment is advantageous.
  • Specialized Skills: Familiarity with dysphagia management, clinical swallow evaluations (CSEs), and instrumental assessments (such as FEES or MBSS) is preferred.
  • Documentation Skills: Ability to document in accordance with facility and payer guidelines and work collaboratively with nursing staff, therapy teams, and family members.
Assignment Details
  • Facility Type: Skilled Nursing Facility.
  • Shift Schedule: Day shifts from 08:30 to 16:30.
  • Weekly Hours: Approximately 35 hours.
  • Assignment Duration: 14 weeks.
