Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist Up to $60/hr
Location: Tucson, AZ
Contract Duration: 36 weeks
Compensation: Up To $60/Hour Based on Experience


Job Requirements
Education Requirements: Valid Speech Language Pathologist license and relevant degree or equivalency.
Certifications Requirements: Current state licensure as an SLP.
Experience Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience working with school-aged children; ability to develop treatment plans, evaluate students, and communicate effectively with educators and families.
Other Requirements: Must have experience with IEPs and MET meetings, ability to handle caseloads up to 70 students, familiarity with classroom integration models, and supporting augmentative communication devices. Excellent communication skills, proactive attitude, and reliable attendance are essential.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials to meet student objectives and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provides speech and language services to students with IEPs, managing caseloads that may reach up to 70 students depending on staffing and workload.
  • Supervise SLPAs in classroom settings when applicable, supporting implementation of speech and language goals.
  • Write and attend MET and IEP meetings as the SLP service coordinator.
  • Evaluate students’ speech and language skills and implement communication goals on IEPs.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and other professionals, making recommendations and referrals.
  • Follow school-wide systems, rules, and positive behavior interventions.
  • Support staff and students with augmentative communication devices and classroom curriculum related to language acquisition.
  • Communicate proactively with students and families, maintain paperwork compliance, and participate in ongoing staff training.
  • Ensure accountability for growth and proficiency in IEP goals, including Medicaid billing.
