Speech/Language Pathologist

JOB SUMMARY: To evaluate and diagnose students at risk for communication, fine/gross motor, sensory, hearing & visual disorders, and to provide direct service to students as required by IEPs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implements all aspects of child Find: referring, screening, evaluating, diagnosing, and recommending intervention strategies for referred students
• Completes all assessments, including written report within timelines mandated by IDEA
• Completes all progress reports within timelines mandated by IDEA
• Adherence to the Code of Ethics of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Maintains written records of service delivery for all students
• Consults with administration, staff and families regarding interventions and strategies for identified students
• Participates and reports evaluation results to IEP eligibility meetings
• Observes students in their learning environments, as requested
• Participates in Professional Development opportunities and stays current with evaluation instruments
• Consult with other professionals, as needed
• Supervisory responsibilities, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Massachusetts certification for Speech & Language therapist or Professional state licensure, as appropriate
• Master''s degree required
• Three years'' experience working within a school/clinical setting
• Knowledge of IDEA regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

COMPENSATION: $55,733 - $96,217, commensurate with education and experience
