Speech Language Pathologist

As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in Wauconda, Illinois, your days will include:

• Assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs through screenings and evaluations.

• Provide individualized and small-group speech-language therapy to elementary students.

• Develop and implement IEP goals that support communication skills and classroom participation.

• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to integrate communication strategies into students’ school day.

• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings.

• Support students with articulation, fluency, expressive and receptive language, and social communication needs.

Job Details

• Position: Full-time contract in a school setting

• Dates: ASAP through June

• Hours: 35 hours per week

• Daily Schedule: 8:20 a.m.–3:50 p.m.

• Grade Level: Elementary

• Caseload: Starting at 26 students with IEPs, with growth anticipated as the school year progresses

• Setting: Onsite

Successful Candidates Possess

• A Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• An active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license (required)

• An active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) (required)

• Experience in a pediatric or school setting (preferred)

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

• The ability to work in the U.S. without a sponsor
