Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in grades K-4 in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments to identify students’ communication needs and determine appropriate services.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized speech and language goals based on student needs.
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and other related service providers.
Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and provide progress updates in accordance with IEP requirements.
Support students across areas such as articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, and functional communication, as appropriate to individual needs.
Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and school requirements for special education and related services.
Position: Contract (option to renew) in a school setting
Dates: August 24, 2026 – June 11, 2027
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Grade Level: K-4
Caseload: Approximately 20-30 students
Interview: Virtual
Work Setting: On-site; virtual and hybrid candidates are not being considered
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
Active or pending Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist licensure
Active or eligible Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) appropriate for providing school-based speech-language services
Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and documentation skills
Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
The ability to work in the U.S. without a sponsor
Clinical Fellows (CFs) may be considered
