About the Role: Exceptional Pediatric Therapy LLC is looking for a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our growing team in Houston, TX! This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children by supporting speech-language therapy services in a fun, child-centered environment.
Responsibilities:
Implement speech-language therapy treatment plans as directed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Provide direct therapy services to pediatric patients targeting communication, articulation, language, and fluency goals
Document patient progress and maintain accurate session notes and data
Prepare therapy materials, activities, and resources to support individualized treatment plans
Communicate effectively with supervising SLPs, families, and caregivers regarding patient progress
Assist with screenings, assessments, and evaluations under the direction of a licensed SLP
Maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive therapy environment for pediatric clients
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
Current SLPA licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Texas
Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
Strong knowledge of speech-language therapy techniques and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with children
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary therapy team
