    Role Description: The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will support licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering child-led, evidence-based speech and language interventions to children in the San Antonio, Texas Metropolitan Area. This part-time, hybrid role includes telehealth and clinic-based care, conducting therapy activities under supervision, documenting progress, and collaborating with families on home practice strategies. Some work, including planning, documentation, and virtual check-ins, can be completed from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing session materials, implementing treatment plans, monitoring children’s responses to therapy, and communicating regularly with supervising clinicians to adjust goals and strategies as needed.

    Qualifications

    • \n
    • Strong foundation in Speech and Articulation skills relevant to pediatric therapy.
    • \n
    • Knowledge of Speech Therapy principles and techniques, with experience supporting treatment plans.
    • \n
    • Understanding of Communication and Communication Disorders, including developmental and language-based challenges.
    • \n
    • Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
    • \n
    • Current SLPA license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Texas.
    • \n
    • Experience working with children and families in home or community-based settings.
    • \n
    • Ability to travel within the San Antonio Metropolitan Area and work in a hybrid in-home/remote model.
    • \n
    • Effective documentation, time management, and collaboration skills, with openness to neuroaffirmative, child-led approaches.
    • \n
    • Spanish-English bilingual skills preferred but not required.
