Speech and Language Pathologist - 0.5 FTE
Required Certification: 061
Sample Duties:
Deliver Speech and Language Therapy: Conduct individual and small-group therapy sessions targeting articulation, language development, pragmatics (social skills), and fluency, specifically tailored to the social and academic needs of middle school students.
Support Assistive Technology & AAC: Collaborate with the special education team to implement, monitor, and train students and staff on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technologies.
Conduct Evaluative Assessments: Administer comprehensive speech and language evaluations, analyze diagnostic data, and contribute to multidisciplinary evaluation reports (IEPs/504 plans).
Ensure Continuity of Therapeutic Care: Partner with the buildings speech department to maintain an aligned approach to student scheduling, data collection, and progress tracking across the middle school population.
Maintain Compliance & Communication: Maintain accurate, timely documentation for progress reports, IEP compliance, and Medicaid billing, while fostering strong, unified communication with families and school staff alongside the full-time SLP.
Salary per Branford Education Association Contract:
$56,974 - $113,513 pending degree level
