SUMMARY The Speech Pathologist participates in the screening, diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of speech and language disorders for students across the district, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to read and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations; write reports, correspondence, and procedural documents; and present information effectively to colleagues, staff, parents, students, and community members. They must be able to calculate mathematical concepts such as proportions, percentages, and basic algebra and geometry. Candidates must also be able to solve practical problems involving a variety of variables and interpret instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position may require sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 25 pounds, and traveling between school sites. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
