    As a per diem Speech Language Pathologist in Acute Therapy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Ca, you will have comprehensive knowledge of assessment and intervention techniques in a medical physical disabilities setting.

    What will you be doing?

    • Perform evaluations
    • Demonstrate appropriate treatment interventions and strategies
    • Complete discharge planning for patients
    • Knowledge and experience with bedside swallow evaluations and cognitive/communication evaluations
    • The Therapist-Per Diem is considered employed on an at-will basis with no guarantee of scheduled hours. Scheduling is done based on staffing need and availability. The Therapist-Per Diem staff member is expected to be available a minimum of 16 hours per month.

    Qualifications Education Requirements:

    • Graduate of an accredited SLP program

    License/Certification Requirements:

    • Valid and current license as a SLP in the state of California
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross

    What will set you apart? (Preferred Skills/Qualifications):

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing therapist; preferably in an acute care setting. Experience working with the electronic health record preferred.

    Physical Demands:

    • Able to push, pull, lift or carry 0-35 pounds on an intermittent basis;
    • Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat consistently in order to safely administer manual exercises and techniques;
    • Able to assist patient with physical activities such as transfers, bed mobility, and ambulation.
    • Able to identify need for an arrange assistance to maintain safe techniques.
