Speech/Language Pathologist
Would you like to make a difference every day in someone’s life? This role is critical to our success and exemplifies the wonderful mission driven work we do every day.
- Provide quality speech-language therapy services in our adult post-acute residential rehabilitation program.
- Assess speech and language skills, cognitive skills, and voice and fluency disorders with our adult individuals with traumatic and/or acquired brain injuries.
- Direct and administer speech therapy using techniques that assist in the rehabilitation of individuals with functional disabilities of speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing.
- Review medical records, test and evaluate individuals served and develop therapy treatment plans.
- Identify and develop intervention strategies.
- Instruct individuals we serve, family members, and primary caregivers to insure the maintenance of or to achieve the ideal functioning level for each person served.
- Ensure effective coordination of individual’s served home and community re-integration.
- Serve on an interprofessional rehabilitation team, participate in team meetings, attend professional conferences, participate in project teams for program development and growth, and engage with the company’s nationwide network.
- Collaborate with our physicians, professionals/paraprofessionals, consultants, families, and community resources to ensure effectiveness of our occupational therapy program.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Must be licensed by the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
- Effective communication skills to manage relationships
- A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
