Responsibilities
Perform Speech Therapy evaluation and development of the plan of care appropriate for each patient based on the patients physical, mental, emotional, and developmental impairments and functional limitations. A variety of diagnoses and possibility of all 3 settings served include but are not limited to communicative, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
Provide Speech Therapy interventions in accordance with established standards of care, policies, procedures, and state/federal law. Interventions may be related to but not limited to communicative, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
Supervise and complete appropriate documentation for Speech Therapy students as assigned by CCCE.
Schedule Speech Therapy services according to department.
Complete documentation in electronic medical record in a timely manner in accordance with department and professional expectations, demonstrating the need for skilled interventions.
Participate in patient care conferences and staffing as appropriate for multidisciplinary patients.
Qualifications
Education
Masters degree from an accredited Speech Therapy program.
Experience
2 years experience as a Speech Therapist.
Licenses
Current IA and/or IL Speech Therapy licensure or eligible.
Certifications
Current CPR certification.
Certification of Clinical Competency issued by ASHA within 1 year of hire.
Other
Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position. Working knowledge of Epic.
