Location Avon, IN location.

Shift This position will be a Flat Rate PRN role; shift is rotating on an as-needed basis. Weekend availability is needed approximately once every month.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Performs speech pathology services including diagnostic evaluations to determine level of impairment.
• After administering the appropriate tests and measures, a treatment plan is designed for improved communication and swallowing.
• Performs direct patient care services including the supervision of support personnel and students.
• Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education, and department operations.

Requirements

• Requires a Masters Degree from an accredited academic program in speech pathology, or if foreign trained, graduation from a speech pathology education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
• Requires current license in the State of Indiana.
• Requires a certificate of clinical competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility for this certificate.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
