Overview
Evaluates and treats patients of all ages who suffered cognitive, language disorders, swallowing problems, and oral motor disorders due to trauma, illnesses or surgery. This position creates a treatment plan based on the assessment findings and, works with the patient and family members to achieve the highest possible level of independence.
Responsibilities
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(*Essential Functions) Designs and executes a treatment plan based on assessment findings. Documents assessments and interventions accurately and timely. Educates patients and families. Evaluates patients cognitive, communication, swallowing skills. Participates in multi-disciplinary meetings and case reviews. Supervises students as needed.
