About Us
SynapseTBI provides specialized diagnostic and treatment services for patients with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI), and Post-Concussion Syndrome. We offer neurological consultations, diagnostic evaluations, individualized treatment planning, neuro-rehabilitation coordination, and multidisciplinary care to support patients throughout their recovery journey.

Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our growing Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) team in Houston, Texas. This hybrid role combines in-clinic patient care with community and field-based responsibilities, providing a unique opportunity to support patients throughout their recovery journey. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, organized, and passionate about helping individuals improve communication, cognition, and overall quality of life following neurological injury.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct speech-language and cognitive-communication evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
  • Provide therapy services to patients recovering from traumatic brain injuries and other neurological conditions
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and care plans accurately and timely
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, strategies, and progress
  • Participate in case conferences and treatment planning discussions
  • Travel locally as needed to support patient care and community-based services
  • Maintain compliance with all clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology license required**
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Experience working with neurological, cognitive, concussion, or TBI populations preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Comfortable working in both clinic and community-based settings
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required
