Speech Pathologist (Leave Replacement)

Syosset Central School District

Available for the 2026-2027 school year

The Syosset Central School District has an anticipated need for a leave replacement Speech Pathologist. The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• New York State certification in Speech Pathology required

• CPSE chair experience preferred

• Proven and successful experience administering and interpreting the speech-language assessment process

• Experience working with students with ranging needs

• Ability to work collaboratively with highly respectable faculty and staff including classroom teachers, special area teachers, PPS staff, administrators and parents.

• Experience working with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred

• Exemplary understanding of IEP development and implementation

• Expertise in differentiation of instruction to support the success and growth of all students

• Possess innovative skills using instructional technology

• Experience in the delivery of specially designed instruction including the application of the principles of ABA across all domains, including academic, communication, social and behavioral
