Speech Pathologist- PRN

Job Description

Location Ball Memorial in Muncie, IN.

Shift PRN - As needed on weekdays and weekend coverage rotation x1 Saturday

Roles and Responsibilities

• Performs speech pathology services, including diagnostic evaluations to determine the level of impairment. • After administering the appropriate tests and measures, a treatment plan is designed for improved communication and swallowing. • Performs direct patient care services, including the supervision of support personnel and students. • Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care education and department operations.

Requirements

• A Masters Degree from an accredited academic program in speech pathology or, if foreign-trained, graduation from a speech pathology education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA. • Current license in the State of Indiana. • A certificate of clinical competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility for this certificate. • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
