Founded by a speech pathologist, Summit Therapy Services is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to cover a medical leave in a school setting from now-June, 4-days/week throughout the DFW area. Full-time through June available if needed. Full CCCs required, CFY candidates not eligible for this on-site, school position.
The ideal SLP will:
Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication disorders.
Treat speech, language, communication disorders.
Provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals.
Work collaboratively with professionals from many other disciplines
Supervise and direct public school programs.
Engage in research to enhance knowledge about human communication processes and develop new assessment and treatment methods that may lead to more effective outcomes.
Provide counseling and consultative services.
Deliver therapy via in-person and virtual platforms (will be provided a device and training).
Work independently and with other teams successfully
Read, write and type in small print
Build/manage own caseload using parameters given by school district
Communicate to administration, parents and students on all aspects of the job
Secure transportation independently to/from job site
Hold current valid license to practice Speech pathology in the State of Texas
