Speech Pathologist Teacher (K-12)

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST (SLP)

Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language services to students in a school setting. The SLP will work with students, teachers, families, and school staff to support students’ communication skills and educational success.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual and/or small-group speech and language therapy.
• Address articulation, language, fluency, voice, and communication needs.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and assist with developing appropriate goals and services.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and other school professionals.
• Provide classroom strategies and recommendations to support student communication.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
• Follow applicable special education requirements and school policies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.(Preferred)
• Current Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license or appropriate credentials.
• CCC-SLP preferred/required as applicable.
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IEPs and special education services.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
