Ed Code allows hiring of persons in possession of an MA in Communicative Disorders, valid California Speech license, and CBEST. A person with these qualifications would be placed on the not fully credentialed salary scale. The possession of a Preliminary or Clear Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential is required for placement on the fully credentialed Speech Therapist salary schedule.
