Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a specialized speech therapy setting
- Valid Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and CCC-SLP certification
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Proficiency in interpreting Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) and FEES is a plus
- Strong knowledge of acute care protocols and patient management
- Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience supporting ICU patients and neurological cases
- Familiarity with hospital electronic medical record systems
- Experience in dysphagia management and respiratory compromise cases
- Multilingual abilities are advantageous
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- At least two years of direct experience in acute care facilities
- Proven ability to manage diverse patient populations and diagnoses
Other Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel within hospital facilities
- Willingness to work scheduled hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, including at least 2 weekends per 4-week period (preferably 4)
- Ability to adapt to varying schedules and patient needs
- Certifications and licensure must be kept current throughout assignment
