Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, varying days
Hours: 40 hours/week (5x8 shifts)

Position Highlights

• Now accepting both local and travel candidates for this position.

• Minimum 15–18 months of recent Speech Therapy experience within the specialty required.

• Prior acute care experience strongly preferred.

• Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBS) and/or FEES proficiency is a plus but not required.

Required Qualifications

• Current Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License

• CCC-SLP certification

• Current AHA BLS certification

Job Description

The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide acute care services to hospitalized patients based on physician orders. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of speech, language, swallowing, cognitive, and communication disorders across multiple patient populations.

The SLP will support patients throughout the hospital, including:

• Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients

• Stroke and neurological patients

• Patients with dysphagia (swallowing disorders)

• Patients with respiratory compromise

• Patients with cognitive and communication impairments

• Medical and surgical patient populations

The ideal candidate is clinically strong, adaptable, and experienced in managing complex acute care cases within a fast-paced hospital environment.
