Bancroft is currently seeking a PRN Speech Therapist to join our NeuroRehab team in Plainsboro, NJ. In this role, you will provide speech and language therapy services to adults with traumatic brain injuries participating in our Adult Day Program. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping individuals improve their communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing abilities while supporting their rehabilitation and independence.

PRN Rate for the SpeechTherapist: USD $58.00/hr

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct, consultative, and supportive diagnostic and therapeutic services for communication and oral motor disorders to individuals and staff members to enhance individual potential for learning and to meet the specific rehabilitation needs of persons served.
  • Conducts diagnostic assessments of the need for communication and oral motor skills for individuals.
  • Provides direct and consultative treatment services in communication and oral motor therapy.
  • Facilitates a team approach to program development, implementation, and monitoring by effectively collaborating with all specialty/clinical disciplines, parents/guardians, and residential and day program staff to identify and best meet the individual rehabilitation needs..
  • Actively participates in monthly team/departmental meetings, etc., and serves as a member of the Trans-Disciplinary Team (TDT) process in conjunction with the Individual Program Plan (IPP).
  • May work with speech therapy students throughout course of assignment in the assessment and treatment of persons served. Provides daily advice and guidance to students and strives to increase students' knowledge of discipline-specific methods and techniques.

Qualifications

Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology to include a National Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA) required. Minimum of one year of work experience in communication and oral motor therapy preferred, working with neurologically-impaired individuals.
