Job Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for assessing patients’ speech and language abilities, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based therapies to support communication improvement. The SLP works closely with nurses, physical and occupational therapists, physicians, and families to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. This position requires excellent communication, clinical expertise, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CT)
  • Previous experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist preferred
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools and therapy techniques for speech and language disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support patients and families
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

What You’ll Do

  • Assess patients' speech and language abilities to develop accurate diagnoses
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patients' needs
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, including nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and primary care providers
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Educate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies for continued improvement

Compensation

Pay: $70.00 - $100.00  per hour
