Speech Therapist (SLP) Part-time

About the Role:

As a part-time Speech Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid state license or certification to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the United States.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent supervised professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and therapeutic interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with pediatric and adult populations in clinical or educational settings.
• Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and techniques.
• Certification in specialized therapy approaches such as PROMPT, Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT), or other relevant modalities.
• Bilingual abilities or experience working with culturally diverse populations.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and teletherapy platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders in clients of various ages.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and client goals.
• Provide direct therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques to improve speech and communication abilities.
• Monitor client progress and adjust therapy approaches as needed to ensure effective outcomes.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and other healthcare providers to support holistic client care and provide guidance on communication strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans.
• Stay current with advancements in speech therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
