Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical goals
- Implement evidence-based speech therapy interventions to improve communication and swallowing function
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercise programs
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional practice standards
- Promote patient safety while delivering compassionate, high-quality care
Education & Certification Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of North Dakota or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred or required based on facility requirements
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Previous clinical experience in an acute care, outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or home health setting preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of Speech-Language Pathology experience preferred
- Experience evaluating and treating adult and/or pediatric patient populations
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Excellent clinical judgment, documentation, and time management skills
- Passion for helping patients improve communication and quality of life
