Key Responsibilities of the Speech Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist- Provide speech therapy for a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses
- Support acute care patients based on physician orders throughout the hospital
- Address cases involving ICU patients, stroke and neurological conditions, dysphagia, and cognitive challenges
Requirements of the Speech Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist- GA License for SLP & CCC-SLP
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- 15-18 months of recent experience within the specialty
- Prior acute care experience is desirable; MBS/FEES proficiency is a plus
