Summary: This one year position is designed to teach research and laboratory techniques applicable in Spine surgery research. The fellow will develop both clinical and basic sciences working closely related to the field.

Essential Functions

  • assists project directors with their ongoing research investigations
  • initiates projects as principal investigator
  • reports to on a regular basis to the project director about the progress of the project/study.
  • summarizes the results of research findings for presentation at national meetings and for publication in peer reviewed journals
  • presents his and his team results at national meetings and international conferences on the specialty .
  • assists where necessary in the ongoing quality activities of the laboratory
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • M.D. Degree in basic science
