Overview:

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit’s Defense Business Unit (“Spirit Defense”). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space marketplace. Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Government security, proprietary information protection, physical and personnel security, property control, and visitor control. Develops inspection and compliance reports, security and technology control plans, government operating manuals, and standard practice procedures
  • Provides international security support, physical security assessments, document accountability control and destruction, education and training products, consultations, administrative inquiries, classification management guidance, security direction, and emanation protection
  • Interfaces with the appropriate government agencies, company management and employees, customers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure understanding of and compliance with security requirements
  • Includes management of Department of Defense program requirements, processing personnel security clearances, classified program administration, security record maintenance, collaboration with federal intelligence/law enforcement communities, access requests, administering security awareness training programs, and validating cleared facility visit requests
  • Requires DoD security clearance eligibility and subject to DoD program access requirements
 
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship)
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and team-based environment
  • Ability to prioritize requests from multiple sources and support requirements
  • Self-motivated; taking ownership of projects and issues, including following through to closure and resolution
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • 2+ years' experience required
  • High School Diploma required

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Mid-Level (Level 3): 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • An active U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship) (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

 

Summary Pay Range - Associate (Level 2): $62,300 - $95,500

Summary Pay Range - Mid-Level (Level 3): $78,300 - $120,050

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
