Salary Range: $60,000 to $90,000 based on experience
Position Type: W-2
Expected Hours: 32-40 hours per week (Full Time)

Job Summary

The Spiritual Care and Wellness Supervisor supports clients throughout the recovery process by helping foster spiritual and emotional wellness, recovery engagement, connection, meaning, and whole person healing within the Ignitus Recovery-Oriented System of Care (ROSC). This role combines relationship centered support, trauma integrated engagement, spiritual programming, wellness programming, and recovery oriented care to help clients strengthen emotional regulation, recovery capital, and long term recovery sustainability.

This position provides supportive, non coercive, culturally respectful spiritual care and wellness services integrated within a multidisciplinary behavioral healthcare environment.

The Spiritual Care and Wellness Supervisor helps operationalize the Ignitus philosophy that connection, consistency, professionalism, and environment all influence recovery outcomes. The role works collaboratively with clinical, medical, peer support, and operations teams to help create a stable, emotionally safe, recovery oriented treatment environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build safe, professional, trust based relationships with clients using trauma integrated, culturally responsive, and recovery oriented communication.

  • Provide supportive spiritual and wellness oriented engagement that reinforces each client’s treatment plan, recovery goals, and emotional wellbeing.

  • Facilitate spiritual care, wellness, mindfulness, recovery support, and meaning centered groups or activities aligned with program structure and clinical directives.

  • Support clients in developing spirituality, healthy routines, coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and recovery focused structure.

  • Assist clients in exploring purpose, values, spirituality, identity, hope, grief, forgiveness, and community connection in a non coercive and client directed manner.

  • Reinforce recovery oriented behaviors, professionalism, accountability, and healthy interpersonal functioning within the milieu.

  • Support community integration and connection to spiritual development, recovery support and wellness resources.

  • Collaborate effectively with therapists, psychiatry, nursing, coaching/peer support, case management, and operations staff.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary communication and escalate safety, clinical, or operational concerns appropriately.

  • Maintain professional boundaries, emotional regulation, and ethical conduct in all interactions.

  • Document client interactions, spiritual and wellness support activities clearly and professionally within the EHR/EMR.

  • Support continuity of care and recovery engagement across levels of care.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, psychology, counseling, ministry, theology, wellness, recovery support, or related field required.

  • MS Degree preferred.

  • Clinical Licensure (LPC, LMFT, LAC, LCSW) or Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) certificate preferred.

  • Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, residential care, recovery support, wellness programming, ministry, peer support, or related settings preferred.

  • Strong communication, observation, emotional regulation, and de escalation skills.

  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and work effectively within multidisciplinary systems.

  • Ability to document clearly and professionally within an EHR/EMR.

  • CPR/First Aid certification and any required state credentials as applicable.

  • Valid driver’s license if transportation duties apply.
