Full-Time Hospice Spiritual Counselor / Chaplain


Spanish-Speaking Preferred | San Gabriel Valley-San Bernardino/IE areas

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Spiritual Counselor / Healthcare Chaplain to join our hospice team and support patients and families during life’s most important moments. This role is ideal for someone who is empathetic, spiritually grounded, and passionate about providing emotional and spiritual care to individuals facing serious illness.


Qualifications


Master of Divinity (M.Div.) preferred or Licensed / Ordained Healthcare Chaplain or equivalent pastoral care certification

Spanish speaking preferred

Experience supporting patients and families dealing with end-of-life care, grief, or crisis situations preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Comfortable working with diverse cultures, faiths, and spiritual beliefs

Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation required


Coverage Area


Must be able to travel throughout the San Gabriel Valley, San Bernardino/IE areas


Compensation & Benefits


$32.00 – $35.00/hour + mileage reimbursement

Position Overview


The Spiritual Counselor works alongside the hospice interdisciplinary team to provide compassionate spiritual care, emotional support, counseling, and crisis intervention to hospice patients and their loved ones. Responsibilities include spiritual assessments, participation in care planning, and helping patients and families navigate emotional and spiritual challenges with dignity and compassion.
