Job Description:
The Splashers of the South Seas & Garbanzos Supervisor oversees daily operations of the waterpark, Arcade, and Garbanzos concession stand, ensuring guest safety, exceptional service, and financial performance. This leadership role supervises lifeguard teams, slide attendants, cashiers, and concession staff while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety compliance, and revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating staffing needs across the waterpark, Arcade, and Garbanzos, ensuring adequate coverage for all departments
- Overseeing daily operations of waterpark, Arcade, and Garbanzos - addressing guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns professionally
- Managing cash handling for Arcade, Garbanzos, and the waterpark during assigned shifts
- Approving and processing refunds to maintain guest satisfaction
- Maintaining active CPO certification and ensuring compliance with water safety standards
- Proactively identifying and mitigating safety hazards across the entire facility
- Supervising Garbanzos and waterpark teams, ensuring efficiency and adherence to conduct standards
- Leading bi-weekly in-service training sessions (minimum 4 hours monthly per Red Cross)
- Supervise lifeguard team, slide attendants, waterpark attendants, Arcade staff, and Garbanzos personnel
- Coordinate breaks, emergency response, and staffing coverage across all areas
- Handle guest service issues (refunds, lost items, cabana cleanliness, Arcade prizes, concession orders)
- Manage cash handling operations, including loading/emptying tills for Waterpark and Garbanzos, performing cashouts, till swaps/checks, and ensuring accurate tracking of all money, promos, receipts, wristbands, and Arcade cards
- Conduct pool chemical testing across all water areas and make closure decisions in coordination with management/maintenance when safety standards require
- Open and close Arcade, Waterpark, and Garbanzo's, managing all associated responsibilities, including equipment checks, security procedures, cash reconciliation, and facility readiness
- Manage scheduling and timekeeping using TimeWell - create schedules, approve employee hours, and track attendance across waterpark, Arcade, and Garbanzos teams
- Maintain cleanliness across waterpark, Arcade, and Garbanzos areas
- Assist with front desk, Arcade tokens, and Garbanzos cash handling
- Track attendance, validate timesheets, conduct safety inspections and equipment inventories
- Administer disciplinary action per company policy
Qualifications:
- Must be a Certified Lifeguard (current certification required)
- Active CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification required
- CPR, First Aid, AED certification required
- R-Serve certification (required for Garbanzos oversight)
- Previous lifeguard/leadership experience (2+ years preferred)
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
