We are hiring for a Splunk DBA opportunity.

Role: Splunk DBA

Location: Lake Mary, FL 32746

Position: 1

Work Arrangement: Mostly Remote

Role Overview

We are seeking a Splunk DBA with strong experience administering Splunk Enterprise in Red Hat Linux environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting Splunk environments, supporting data ingestion, application deployments, access management, system health, and production changes.

Required Skills

• Splunk Administration
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Splunk Enterprise components including Universal Forwarders, Heavy Forwarders, Search Heads, Indexers, Deployment Manager, and License Master.
• Experience configuring and monitoring data injection and application deployment to Splunk.
• Experience creating and managing Splunk reports and dashboards.
• Experience promoting application and configuration changes through the SDLC into production.
• Experience managing Splunk access based on security requirements.
• Experience monitoring Splunk system health and availability.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience maintaining system configuration documents and technical standards.
• Experience with IAM integration.

Preferred Skills

• Cloud environment experience.
• Experience establishing and maintaining Splunk administration best practices and standards.
• Experience identifying areas for system and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Splunk Enterprise components on RHEL systems in cloud environments.
• Configure and monitor data injection and application deployment to Splunk.
• Work with users to create reports and dashboards.
• Promote changes created by developers through the SDLC and into production.
• Manage Splunk access in accordance with project security requirements.
• Monitor and report the health of the Splunk environment.
• Maintain system availability and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Identify opportunities for system and operational improvements.
• Establish best practices and standards for Splunk administration.
• Define, track, and maintain system configuration documentation and standards.
• Support IAM integration.

Education Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
