POSITION PURPOSE / IMPORTANT APPLICATION INFORMATION
The Sport Supervisor position is responsible for observing and monitoring sports leagues and keeping accurate league records. This position also provides routine field preparation and maintenance. Recreation staff have the primary responsibility of ensuring the safety of program participants.
The availability of work hours for this position will be determined by one or all of the following factors: program length, weather, and budget. Hours for this position will generally be Monday through Friday from 5:45 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and Sundays from 1:45 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The full salary range for this position is stated above. The starting pay range depends on each candidates qualifications and experience.

JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
Essential Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks
Observes and monitors various sports leagues to ensure safety and discipline at facilities
Assists with crowd control
Effectively handles emergencies such as fire alarms and injuries
Provides excellent guest service to participants and spectators
Provides routine athletic field cleaning and maintenance, such as ball field preparation and field painting
Tracks team statistics and scores
Responsible for maintenance, cleaning, and inventory of recreation equipment
Completes accurate transactions (cash, check, credit card, gift card) and reconciles at the end of the shift
Safely operates vehicles and equipment
Maintains regular and punctual attendance
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Incumbent is accountable for all duties of this job, and other projects and responsibilities may be added at the City's discretion.

Physical Requirements
This position requires a moderate degree of physical stamina and strength, including the ability to:
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is constantly performed outdoors with occasional indoor activity. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including summer sun and temperatures that may exceed 100 degrees, and winter conditions that include snow and freezing temperatures. Outdoor and indoor work is performed at a high-public-use, multilevel recreation facility, where loud noise and multiple events and activities occurring simultaneously may cause a distraction.
Required Materials and Equipment
Sports and recreation equipment, calculators, telephones, PA systems, gym floor covers, hand tools, AED, gloves, and pocket masks. May be required to operate All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs), ½ ton trucks, lawn mowers, edgers, small hand tools such as hammers, measuring tape, screw drivers, and power tools.
