Contract Details

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months (with potential for permanent hire after contract)
• Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Day Shift 8-hour shifts, 08:00 17:00, Monday Friday; 40 hours/week
• Travel Requirements: Travel/Contract position; locals accepted
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a Sports Medicine / Athletic Trainer (ATC) contract role within an Orthopedic Surgery Clinic. The ATC will provide clinical support and be signed off to room patients, review medications, and administer injections. The clinic serves adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations with orthopedic surgery diagnoses. After the 13-week contract, the clinic would like the option to hire the candidate on permanently.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support within an Orthopedic Surgery Clinic setting
• Room patients as part of daily clinic operations
• Review patient medications
• Administer injections
• Perform bracing and DME fitting
• Record vital signs
• Support approximately 20 patient visits per day across 3 rooms/beds
• Utilize unit systems including EPIC, SBAR, and Teams/Email/Epic Messages
• Adhere to scheduling requirements per clinic needs

Education Requirements

• ATC credential through the Board of Certification (required)
• Licensed as an Athletic Trainer in the state through the NCBATE (required)

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Prior travel/contract experience required (clinic will not accept first-time travelers; however, a candidate with the right background and disposition may be considered)

Important Notes

• RTO (Return to Origin) after booking is NOT allowed and is NOT allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could result in contract cancellation and DNR (Do Not Rehire).
• Unit orientation: 12 hours minimum, depending on how the clinic sees fit.
• Manager WILL NOT extend an offer without speaking to/interviewing the candidate first. Please provide interview availability for the next 72 hours when submitting.
• COVID-19 vaccination: Not required.
