Sports and Play Intern

We are looking for interns at River Crossing YMCA!

Interns will participate directly in day-to-day operations while gaining hands-on experience within their assigned department. This role emphasizes learning by doing, observation, and real-world problem-solving in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

What is needed for this job as our Intern:

• Desire to learn, grow, and take initiative
• Interest in hands-on, community-based work
• Ability to consistently engage (2-3 visits per week preferred)
• Willingness to complete required background clearances
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

The responsibilities we will trust you with as our Intern:

• Support daily operations within assigned department
• Assist with program planning, coordination, and execution
• Engage with members, participants, and staff
• Observe and learn department-specific workflows and best practices
• Contribute to projects, events, or administrative tasks as needed
• Apply problem-solving and critical thinking in real-time settings
