Sports Staff

Join our YMCA Sports team and help create fun, safe, and positive experiences for youth and families! Sports Staff assist with practices, games, clubs, clinics, and leagues while encouraging skill development, teamwork, confidence, and good sportsmanship. We're looking for dependable, energetic team members who enjoy working with children, youth, and adults while serving as positive role models. Hours range from mornings, days, evenings, and weekends.

• Minimum Education: enrolled in High School and working towards diploma
• Knowledge of the sport and basic understanding of the rules of the sport
• Ability to demonstrate leadership and show enthusiasm
• Experience working with children and adults, participating in sports, and preferably officiating
• CPR/AED/First Aid Certification within 60 days of hire if not currently certified

• The employee has been employed with the YMCA for 2 years
• The employee has worked 1,000 hours during each of any two 12-month periods
• The employee is 21 years of age or older

Shifts Needed:

Hours will be flexible and depend on Sport, Activity, and/or Season. Could include morning, days, evenings, and weekends. Fall Needs are Below:

Tuesdays and Saturdays: 5:00pm - 8:00pm

Thursdays: 4:30pm - 7:00pm

Saturdays: 8:00am - 10:30am
