The Sportsbook Writer is responsible for selling and cashing race and sportsbook tickets while providing excellent customer service and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Duties:
Sell and cash tickets; sell Racing Forms and collateral literature.
Ensure that wallboards and handouts are updated with current events, point spreads and odds.
Audit electronic wallboard for accuracy and proper function.
Ensure that TV monitors offer appropriate entertainment products.
Develop relationships with guests, meeting or exceeding Peppermill Guest Service Standards.
Monitor facility for cleanliness and supply inventory.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to maintain a valid license with the Gaming Control Board.
Prior experience in cash-handling preferred.
Keyboard data entry skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
